St Nicholas - Hornsea

St Nicholas

As the Parish Church for Hornsea we are a resource for everyone, not just members of the Church of England. Whether you have faith or no faith we welcome you to  our acts of worship or simply sit quietly in the prayerful atmosphere.  For weddings and baptisms please see details on the contact page.  For a short 30 minute reflective communion service call in on Wednesdays for a 10.30am start or Fridays at 9.30am. Our main service is Sunday at 10.30am which lasts just over an hour.

We believe that the world is created by God and that each of us is made in God’s image and so can show something about God in their lives by what they say and do.

The Bible records God’s relationship with humankind in differing times and contexts and as such the words  help us to understand more about God. Christians believe that the life and teachings of Jesus help us see the love of God.

That love revealed in Jesus’ death on the Cross and in his victory over death tells us that nothing can separate us from the love of God not even death!
